High School Programs

Teen programs offer many leadership and workforce development opportunities to young women ages 14–18. Our programs offer mentoring support, homework help, college and career preparation, community involvement, and leadership development.
Peer Leadership
Peer leaders plan and deliver educational workshops to peers and youth, plan and host special events in the community, and advocate for change.
- Beach Sisters: Promotes environmental literacy and stewardship in girls through hands-on, inquiry-based learning.
- Teen Health Ambassadors: Dedicated to promoting healthy sexuality, THAs act as mentors with younger teens with an emphasis on teen pregnancy prevention.
- STEM Peer Leaders: Demonstrate the power and beauty of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while encouraging girls to consider careers in STEM.
- Part of the Solution: Empowers teen girls to educate their peers about the risks of using alcohol and other drugs.

Project Accelerate
Girls Inc.’s college and career readiness program, open to rising high school juniors and seniors. Project Accelerate includes mentor support, leadership skill development, and college and career preparation.
- College Mentoring: Allows high school juniors and seniors to work with an adult volunteer mentor throughout the college application process.
- Career Path: A career readiness program designed to prepare teen girls for their entry into the workforce. They will develop skills needed for their future careers and learn how to research career interests through job shadowing and internships.
- Teen Leadership Academy: Teens will explore what it means to be a leader with a professional coach and have the chance to practice skills they will need for their future.
