Powerful Outcomes for Powerful Girls in Boston and Lynn
Girls Inc. offers age-appropriate, research-based programs delivered by trained staff to elementary, middle, and high school girls. The organization’s mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. We put our mission into practice through the Girls Inc. experience, which equips girls to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers to grow into healthy, educated, and independent adults.
There are six essential elements of the Girls Inc. Experience:
- A pro-girl and girls-only environment
- Mentoring relationships with adult staff and volunteers
- Intentional programming
- Research-based curricula
- Interactive, motivating, and deliberate activities
- Sustained exposure to programming and connection with a girl over time
Girls Inc. believes girls have the right to prepare for interesting work and economic independence. Our programs emphasize six core themes:
- Careers and Life Planning
- Self-Reliance and Life Skills
- Sports and Adventure
